Been braiding
a lot so my edges are not the best…decided to get cornrows instead of the
normal box braids or twist I would normally get to help wake up my edges. Yes it
did wake my edges up that’s when I decided was going to stay away from my
favourite protective style…box
braids or twist… for a period of at least 2-3 months. How then should I maintain
my natural hair for that period? I decided to finally try the TMS I got last
year.
In the beginning
I was really scared because reviews complained about hard hair. I told myself I
wouldn’t do this myself…salon it is! Pulled my twin sister along to the salon
(lol as motivation). I deep conditioned (with beautiful textures rapid repair
deep conditioner) for roughly 20 minutes…because many reviews spoke about dried
up hair.
In the end I
liked it I didn’t like it….why didn’t I like it. I expected really silky bone-straight
hair because I have really soft cotton ball hair (I am not vain) but rather got
the thick textured hair. I fell in love after like 5 minutes though.
What is it?
It is a
system (lol) where you can rock a straight look for some weeks.

Cleansing
shampoo…it says wash your hair 2-3 times with this…went just twice…my hair
stylist was scared for me lol…when the shampoo was first applied…my hair didn’t
curl up like with regular shampoo it was straight…second time same thing…when
it was rinsed out saw my curls. Hair felt softer though unlike the reviews I saw.

The scent
of both the shampoo and leave-in was just too lovely (as usual).
I was so
confused on whether to use a heat protectant or not…so I just didn’t.

How does it
work?
If I tell
you I know the science behind this…big lie. But…the leave-in conditioner is
said to coat the strands with “something” whereby heat activates it for the
straight look. And also block moisture out.

How long do
plan to keep it?
4 weeks
then back to curls.
Well that’s
just it. I give it 8 out of 10.
