WASH DAY!! :::: DREAM-COME-TRUE OR NIGHTMARE :)

Hi Miranaya here...... here to talk about the naturalistas wash day. I personally haven't met anyone who views wash day as dream come true. The effort and time alone jeez!

WHAT PREPARATION GOES INTO WASH DAY?

 PRODUCTS AND TOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(HAHAHA TOOLS)
Source : Personal Albums
  • Combs! WIDE-TOOTH, AFRO anything ouchless i guess
This is definitely to make detangling easy.... I guess it qualifies as a tool then :)

  • Towel or T-shirt (your choice)
Dab off the extra water :)

  • Detanglers - The name says it all right? Aids in the detangling process to make the hair more manageable:)

NB: OLIVE OIL AND CONDITIONER CAN BE USED AS DETANGLERS YOU DON'T NEED A STORE-BOUGHT ONE.

  • Leave-in Conditioner

Conditioner is every naturalistas bestfriend (at least thats what i have heard). So after washing all the conditioner out this still adds moisture and strength.

  • Plastic cap or shower cap
Well this helps the conditioner get absorbed into the hair cuticles by opening up pores.

  • Clips
Helps hold the hair in sections.

  • Heat Protectant (OPTIONAL)

Yupppppppp! Shea butter can be used as a heat protectant. This step is necessary for people who apply heat to dry.

  •  Shampoo and Conditioner!

SULPHATE-FREE SHAMPOO IS ADVISED. I USE NORMAL SHAMPOO THOUGH SOMETIMES.

THE BATTLE!
  1. DETANGLE
  2. PART HAIR INTO SECTIONS
  3. WASH HAIR IN SECTIONS ....APPLY CONDITIONER AFTER EACH WASH (hair is sectioned again)
  4. PLACE PLASTIC CAP OR SHOWER CAP OVER YOUR HEAD FOR A FEW MINUTES...DEEP CONDITION
  5. WASH HAIR
  6. TOWEL DRY OR TSHIRT DRY (HEHEHE)
  7. APPLY YOUR LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER
  8. STYLE AS DESIRED
OR

   7.  APPLY YOUR HEAT PROTECTANT
   8.  BLOW DRY AND STYLE AS DESIRED.

VOILA!
