2015: MY LESSONS AND BLESSINGS (HAHA)

First of all I would like to say thank you to all readers for their support in 2015, we really appreciate.

Last year for my healthy hair journey was both motivating and depressing.

Ok a summary; started the year with hair I thought was so healthy…lost my edges in the months that followed (not extreme loss though), also lost hair from braids (which was my fault, I was in a hurry to go somewhere so did not detangle properly).

In May I decided I needed to grow my edges for “Afrotastic” so no braiding till the show. My hair was out and I always wanted to try the “Texture Manageability System” from Beautiful Textures, so I did and had my first actual trim. I kept the treatment for almost 2 weeks… no heat damage.
“Afrotastic” finally came and I volunteered to try another straightening system by Keracare so another trim (total trim was 2-3inches in less than 3months).

I wanted to braid but I wanted my edges to grow back. I then discovered braided wigs and made my first twist braid wig, it was butt-long *happy dance*. I really liked it so I decided to wig till school started. In school was getting tired of the twist look so I made box-braids. 2-3 months into my wigging journey I felt my hair was thicker so I had a length-check, I was very much impressed. During my wigging journey didn’t comb till around November when I wanted to twist and just leave my hair out.

Summary… I was not impressed with the first half of my 2015 healthy hair journey but the second half of the year made me smile.
